Our annual Summer Exhibition opens on Saturday 25th May and will continue throughout the summer. Featuring new artwork from both Mary Louise and Howard and some unseen gems from Howard’s archive, this exciting exhibition also marks the start of a year of celebrating Howards 75th. An Exhibition at the Tivoli Theatre
"Scotland Collected” features new images of Aberdeenshire such as Glen Muick, Clochnaben and Poldullie Bridge, alongside some of Howard Butterworth's older iconic images. A small selection of his prints will also be on show.
The exhibition will be open from Wednesday 13th September to Sunday 24th September 10am - 4pm.

A floral summer exhibition by Howard Butterworth. Featuring new work and classics from his private collection and introducing a special limited edition print raising funds for the Friends of ANCHOR #20for20 voyage.
Opens with “meet the artist” on Friday 28th July from 2pm and continues throughout the summer, 11 am - 4 pm, Thursday - Sunday.

Much interest surrounded this iconic image of the Roup at Aultonrea in Glen Muick by Howard Butterworth at this years Scottish Home Show so we decided to share a little of the history that surrounds this famous painting.
Howard attended & made several sketches that contributed to the final artwork of ‘The Roup’ The auction was held in 1983 at Aultonrea, just outside of Ballater. Click Here to read more.
