As a New Year approaches, we take a little time to reflect on the year just past, along with thoughts & plans for the year ahead.
2017 has been a year of challenges & rewards and we look back with sincere thanks to all our clients, supporters and followers.
Friends of ANCHOR was our chosen charity as they celebrated 20 years. Both Mary & Howard along with 18 other artists joined the #20for20 voyage and painted their individual anchors as a memory or a dedication to someone close.
14 of these special Anchors went on to be sold at very special evening & auction held at The Chester Hotel on the 26th Nov 2017. Colin Slessor was the auctioneer for the evening and a staggering £349,000 was raised from the #20for20 Anchors that helped the Dream Big Campaign achieve its £1 Million target. Howard's "The Artist's Garden" was sponsored by the John Clark Motor Group, who went on to purchase the anchor for their head office, for an amazing £28,000.
Mary's "We Are Stardust" sponsored by Stewart Milne Homes, was purchased by the Wood family for The Chester Hotel for another awesome figure of £22,000.
The Artist's Garden - Howard's Summer Exhibition raised further funds from our customers who purchased a specially signed "June Borders - Crathes Castle" Along with the gifted "The Artist' Garden" original acrylic that was auctioned at the Friends of ANCHOR Masquerade Ball. Making a combined total of over £70,000 from the family raised for Friends of ANCHOR

The Gallery is hosting a Winter Exhibition, with some new work by Mary Louise. The Gallery is open weekends 11 - 4pm. Viewing is available outwith these times by appointment.

Butterworth Studios Ltd will be working on it's giftware range including the Howard Butterworth 2019 Calendar and new card images.
The gallery reopens on Saturday 6th January with its Winter Exhibition. In May 2018 it will host it's 21st Summer Exhibition, which promises to have a few surprises in store.
