We are proud to be part of Own Art, a national initiative designed to make buying artwork easy and affordable. 

How It Works

  • Flexible Financing: Borrow from as little as £100 up to a maximum of £25,000 for the purchase of original Scottish artwork by living artists.

  • Higher Value Artworks: If your chosen piece costs more than £25,000, you can use the scheme to fund the maximum loan amount and cover the remaining balance seamlessly using cash, credit, or debit card.

  • Eligibility: Own Art is available to UK residents aged 18 and over, subject to status and affordability terms.

About the Scheme & Legal Disclosures

Own Art is an Arts Council England initiative operated by Creative United (a registered trademark of Creative Sector Services CIC, a Community Interest Company) in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, and credit provider Novuna Consumer Finance.


The aims of the scheme are:

  • To enable more people to live with the art they love
  • To promote the presentation and sale of high quality works of art through a network of visual arts venues and galleries across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland;
  • To support contemporary artists by encouraging increased sales of work across a breadth of practice.
