"Poppy" and "Seadog" by Howard and Mary Butterworth helped raise a staggering £531,000 for the ARCHIE Foundation and WDC charities. This summer Aberdeen was treated to an amazing public exhibition of 50 dolphins each painted by a prominent artist. The Aberdeen Wild Dolphins project culminated in an auction of all 50 dolphins at Aberdeen's famous Music Hall in September. The project was a huge success and Howard and Mary are proud to have been heavily involved in raising money for these worthwhile charities. ARCHIE was established as the official charity of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, to raise funds that would ‘Make the Difference’ between the high standards of care and a total child and family centred experience. Whale and Dolphin Conservation (formerly WDCS) is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. We defend these remarkable creatures against the many threats they face through campaigns, lobbying, advising governments, conservation projects, field research and rescue. Their vision is a world where every whale and dolphin is safe and free.
