Aberdeen artist Mary Louise Butterworth uniquely captures the atmospheric winter city lights, night scenes and street life of the city of Aberdeen in her artwork and print editions. The dramatic skies and sunsets of the North East beaches, The Castlegate on Union Street, Aberdeen’s West End, Schoolhill next to the Aberdeen Art Gallery, HMT, Historic Environment Scotland (HES) listed multi-storey block - Thistle Court and Aberdeen Harbour have all been captured in her unique style.Living and painting most of his life with an art gallery in Glen Muick, Howard Butterworth’s legacy as Ballater’s best loved artist is well known and illustrated by the enduring memorial ‘I am the light of the world/Is mise solas an t-saoghil’ which can be found at Ballater Church dedicated to and commissioned by Mike Sheridan, friend and Master Butcher, Royal Warrant Holder and benefactor to the community of Ballater.
Glen Muick Church Green will be hosting the Ballater Winter Festival which takes place on Saturday 25th November. Visitors can enjoy a variety of events along with the community raffle that we are supporting with a donated raffle prize of "Ballater Bridge in snow"
We believe in supporting local business. Our prints and greetings cards are all made in Scotland. We have over 60 cards designs to choose from, all are left blank for your personal message making them ideal for all occasions. They come packaged in an eco friendly bag with a high quality white envelope.
