Yes, we are committed to being accessible to all at The Butterworth Gallery. There is adjacent parking with a small incline, concrete slope leading to the main door. The gallery itself is all on one floor with enough space to move around freely.
At the gallery we have a wide range of prints professionally framed by our local framers. However due to the likelihood of damage, particularly the glass, during postage/transit we do not sell framed prints online.
Of course you can choose your own framing on both originals and prints at the gallery. There may be a difference in the price advertised though due to associated costs.
Yes, both artists will consider painting a commission especially for you.
Yes, we host "Meet the Artist" events at the gallery. Please check our facebook page for more details, or phone 01339886104 for confirmation.
Yes, for special occasions it is possible to get one of our artists to personalise your purchase to make it that extra bit special.
A lithograph is printed in 4 colours on a large press in usually large quantities. A giclee on the other hand is printed individually in 8 colours on a large format inkjet printer. This process gives a much closer reproduction of the original on archival quality paper and inks which are much more resistant to fading. It is also possible to print on different media such as canvas.
Yes it is sometimes possible to order the giclee in a different size. However, the size we have chosen is that which we consider to be optimal for that image due either to original painting size or resolution of the file. There are therefore restrictions on what we would consider for quality reasons. There could also be costs associated, especially if printing larger.
Yes, we can print a giclee on canvas. There are additional costs associated with this though, due varnishing, stretching, etc.
We recommend you insure your original art purchase. This is usually done on your home insurance and we can advise you on what the replacement cost would be.
Yes, we are not able to display all that is available. We update our gallery exhibition several times a year. Our website has a much larger range. If there is a particular place/original you have in mind please feel free to ask to see if it is available.
Yes, several galleries already stock the artists work. Please contact Sarah on 01339886104 if you would like to start.
